Coming Home from Work - Motion Graphic

A 30 second animated story made in Adobe After Effects using textured layers and motion graphic vectors. The animation tells a story of a cloaked stranger descending from the heavens in an elevator, the stranger passes between the surface world and what lies below, seemingly tired from a busy day. The elevator reaches its destination as a devilish throne can be seen from the glass window. As the doors slide open and red light catches the strangers face, make no mistake. The stranger is home.

The purpose of this project was to give me a basic understanding of how to create motion graphics with vectors and using the key frame system in Adobe After Effects. I used multiple grouped layers to organize my workflow and tried to create a knitted texture mask to give the animation a more old-storybook aesthetic.
